Academic Effectiveness & Planning is comprised of two teams: the Academic Effectiveness & Planning Team (AEP) and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Evaluation Team (OIEE). Combined, their efforts foster the development and continuous improvement of quality educational programs, academic support, and the overall academic experience for students across the university.

What We Do

Consistent with Texas Administrative Code, all public doctoral programs and master’s programs must be externally reviewed at a minimum every 10 years. AEP facilitates the completion of a comprehensive self-study, coordinates all logistics for a day campus visit by national experts in the field under review, supports the development of a comprehensive action plan based on recommendations provided by the external review team, and ensures the completion and submission of all university and state-required documents.
